Watch multiple YouTube live streams at once

Stream Mix puts multiple YouTube live broadcasts and chats in one draggable browser workspace, with each panel showing video, chat, or both.

How to add multiple YouTube live streams

  1. Paste a broadcast URL such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID into the Stream Mix header.
  2. YouTube is selected automatically. Choose Stream + Chat, Stream, or Chat.
  3. Select Add and repeat for the remaining broadcasts.
  4. Drag and resize the resulting windows to arrange your layout.

Supported inputs include youtube.com/watch?v=, youtu.be/, /live/, and /embed/ URLs, or a video ID entered manually. Channel homepages are not supported because each broadcast has its own video ID.

YouTube live chat and embeds

Live chat works only when the broadcast or Premiere is live and its creator has enabled chat. It is unavailable for made-for-kids content and may be disabled for other broadcasts.

Stream Mix automatically supplies YouTube’s required embed domain. Players remain independent and may have different broadcast delays. Read YouTube’s official live chat instructions for the platform rules.

A useful YouTube layout

Put the main live broadcast in a large Stream + Chat panel. Add alternate camera feeds or analyst streams as smaller Stream panels. A Chat-only panel is useful when you want the conversation but do not need another copy of the video.

Each YouTube panel uses one video ID. If a channel starts a new broadcast, add the new live video URL. Mute all but one player because independent live broadcasts can have different delays and audio timing.

YouTube troubleshooting

  • URL rejected: use an individual video URL or its video ID, not a channel or search page.
  • Video unavailable: it may have ended, be private or restricted, or have embedding disabled. Confirm it directly on YouTube.
  • Live chat unavailable: confirm the stream is live and chat appears on YouTube, then check tracking protection and content blockers.
  • Playback is slow: lower secondary video quality, pause or minimize unused panels, or switch some panels to Chat.
